Should the ICC indict the four-time Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for war crimes and genocide being committed in the occupied/colonised Palestine, it will make history… Unlike Al-Bashir, Netanyahu has not been directly charged but he has slammed the decision by the International Criminal Court to launch a preliminary investigation into possible war crimes in the Palestinian territories, calling such a move “absurd”. He says Palestinians do not have a state and can only get one through direct negotiations with Israel. “No state, no standing, and no case.” Quite a stupid argument to say the least. But thank God – the ICC has now admitted Palestine as a member.

Hypocrisy is not a four letter word by Tariq A. Al-Maeena

In its short history, the [International Criminal] Court has dealt with crimes of aggression primarily in some countries in Africa.  Despite repeated calls, it has continued to ignore calls for investigations into crimes committed by Israelis against Palestinians.  It has remained mysteriously silent about the massacres of the residents of Sabra and Shatila and the butchery of civilians in Jenin crafted by Ariel Sharon the Israeli premier at the time, followed by the public display of the genocide of the women and children of Gaza at the behest of the current Israeli premier, Benjamin Netanyahu.
