After this Court has heard the evidence concerning the war crimes committed, financed, promoted, encouraged by the Defendants named herein EFC, Plaintiffs would request that the Court consider whether it is appropriate to entertain a punitive damages award against all defendants, especially since war crimes, wanton destruction of property, ethnic genocide are involved.

The AIPAC conference kicked off on Sunday amid protests by Palestinian rights advocates who waved Palestinian flags outside the Washington Convention Center. “I’m here today because it’s time that the world understands what the reality is in occupied Palestine,” Donna Nassor, an activist, said at the rally. “It’s been 70 plus years of incremental genocide. I’m also here because the American people need to understand what our tax dollars are doing and how it is causing suffering to Palestinians, as we support war criminals in Israel.”

This recent attack on Omar is part of the concentrated, fraudulent smearing campaign against her and Congresswoman Tlaib and is directly linked to the targeting of other pro-Palestinian men and women of colour (such as Marc Lamont Hill and Angela Davis).
… Ungar-Sargon’s feigned liberalism or left-wing slant far better represent oppressive and reactionary Zionist principles peppered with identity politics, than a genuine left-wing Jewish outlook. All versions of Zionism, including The Forward’s liberal sort, lead to the same reactionary end of unbridled expansionism and continued settler colonial genocide of Palestinian people.

Undoubtedly, Israeli Jews and Rwandans both share national tragedy, but Palestinians do, too. In 1948, more than 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their homes, and today more than 6.5 million Palestinians live as refugees.
In technical terms, Palestinians have also suffered genocide at the hands of Israel – a history that President Kagame seems to be neglecting intentionally.
According to the Center for Constitutional Rights, “Genocide can be applied to the destruction of a people or a national group as a viable group, and that can be both with their being driven from a land or the rendering of their language no longer legal, or just the destruction of their national identity.”

Miko Peled, an Israeli army veteran, said: “If you look at the UN’s definition of genocide, and you compare it to what the state of Israel does, it is identical…”
Cassandra Cuddy, a feminist organizer from New Haven, told Liberation News: “I am here because I don’t believe [the United States] should be supporting genocide. It’s that simple.”
Norman Clement, an Indigenous organizer, said: “I’m here supporting Palestine because I feel that what’s happening in Palestine is the same as what happened to Indigenous people here in this country. Seeing as I am a Native American, I see no difference between what Israel is doing and what the colonial government did here in the United States… It’s the same murder, genocide.

Hundreds of people have taken to the streets of Washington, DC to demonstrate against an upcoming speech by Republican front-runner Donald Trump, who will address the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference on Monday night… The people marching along Washington’s streets carried banners with various slogans, calling to “Boycott Israel,”“Free Palestine,”“Stop Genocide of Palestine” and others.

As Palestinians, we are too familiar with the label “terrorist” and Hands Up’s use of the word attempts to turn the term on its head by applying it to state political power as a way to illustrate society’s hypocrisy about the use of violence. The messaging is blunt and could have used more context. Here I hope to provide some background on why Rabbi Talve was targeted.

In an open letter published as an ad in the “New York Times,” Holocaust survivors condemned Israel’s Gaza offensive as “genocide.” Edith Bell, born in 1923 in Hamburg, talks with DW about why she co-signed.
Why do you believe Israel’s attack on Gaza can be referred to as genocide?
Because they are killing people at random – a whole population is being killed. My Israeli nephew told me 20 years ago: You killed your Indians. Well, yeah. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
One can read so much furor between the lines in your answers. Why is that?
Well, I don’t want people doing these kinds of things in my name, and my tax money goes to it. Our US government seems to think that AIPAC represents all Jews, and it doesn’t. It’s the organization that has great influence on the US Congress, and they claim to represent the American Jews, which they do not, obviously.

“While tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets worldwide against the siege of Gaza, the Senate voted 100-0 to support it. That of course includes senators Elizabeth Warren, “the socialist” Bernie Sanders and Al Franken. Their liberal conscience was apparently unaffected by the images of murdered Palestinian children, whose deaths passed without mention in the Congressional resolution. A couple days earlier, New York Mayor Bill De Blasio, the celebrity progressive of the moment, likewise maintained his steadfast public support for Israel and its “right to defend itself.”…De Blasio’s speech in front of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in January wasn’t just an endorsement of Israel. It was a pledge of servitude. He declared that defending Israel was “part of his job description” as mayor of New York — a statement that left many New Yorkers scratching their heads. He declared that City Hall “will always be open to AIPAC” and that,“When you need me to stand by you or Washington or elsewhere, I will answer the call, and I’ll answer it happily, ’cause that’s my job.”
