Prime Minister says Israel’s sense of impunity encourages it to commit crimes against the Palestinians on WAFA

Reacting to Israel’s killing this morning of two young Palestinian men in Tulkarm, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said Israel’s sense of impunity encourages it to commit crimes against the Palestinians…“The martyrs Shafiee and Kharyoush are two new victims of organized terrorism practiced by the occupation soldiers against our people, as they carry out their portable crimes with extra-judicial executions, without the slightest care for international laws and humanitarian laws. They are tyrannized by the lust for murder that feeds on the doctrine of burning, erasure, and genocide,”

African delegates from 21 countries craft strategy for Pan-African solidarity with Palestine on WAFA News Agency

They deliberated on the penetration of Israeli apartheid on the African continent, reflected in the “shameful” accreditation of Israel as an observer to the African Union in July 2021. They said that Israel’s accreditation to the 55-member bloc “follows increasing military cooperation between Israel and some African regimes whose arms purchases finance Israel’s genocidal practices against Palestinians and fuel repression and wars in Africa.

Fatah movement appeals to Miss Universe contestants to protest Israel’s apartheid and withdraw from the contest on WAFA

In an appeal to Miss Universe contestants who are gathering in Israel for the Miss Universe Pageant, the ruling Palestinian National Liberation Movement, Fatah, today called on the contestants to oppose Israel’s apartheid regime and withdraw from the contest.
…”The State of Israel is an apartheid state at the core. By participating in the forthcoming Miss Universe Beauty Pageant you are actively partaking in a sustained effort of a rogue State, the apartheid State of Israel, to cover its apartheid core by the forthcoming Pageant,” said the appeal, calling on the contestants “not to take part in this regime of oppression, genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

Remembering the Kafr Qasem massacre of 1956 on WAFA

The depoliticization of healthcare as a site of neutrality showcases the continuous refusal to acknowledge health disparities that are caused by structural harms. The structures of colonialism, militarization, and capitalism perpetuate an erasure of an entire ethnicity in which this case are the Palestinians in the face of Israeli aggression. A statement that isn’t a hyperbole, or a belittlement but a well-documented fact by multiple international human rights organizations. Can Tampa General Hospital advocate for the advancement of health in its community, while it invests in the genocide and displacement of besieged Palestinians?

Pro-Palestinian Dutch activist passes away at 91 on Wafa

Pro-Palestinian Dutch activist Margriet Teders passed away last Tuesday in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She was 91.
…Teders hung the Palestinian flag on her house walls. She also raised it on her apartment balcony so people passing by would be reminded of the justice of the Palestinian cause, as she used to say. “Sign here to demolish the Israeli wall in the occupied Palestine,” and “The Apartheid state is committing genocide,” were only a few of the slogans Teders used to hold during protests calling for freedom of Palestinians.
