Israel’s policy toward Palestinians is ‘eradication’ — Wilkerson by Philip Weiss

“I had a student at George Washington University who was in the IDF. He participated in Operation Cast Lead, you may remember, one of the first [attacks on Gaza, 2008-2009]. At a briefing of his battalion he was told that the object of that operation was to kill every Palestinian in sight, it didn’t matter who they were or what they were. They needed to teach the Palestinians in Gaza a lesson.
That was the standard operating procedure– that’s what they’ve been doing ever since. Every time you shoot a rocket at us, we will kill 1300 of you, men, women and children it doesn’t matter. And you will kill two or three of us. OK? We will live with those odds.

And we will eventually eradicate you. I’m convinced that’s their ultimate goal, eradication and/or apartheid. Now they’re very, very close to apartheid in the entire region. They’re already at apartheid in the West Bank. To a certain extent in Jerusalem.

In Gaza it’s a special kind of apartheid. You own it all, we will just keep you there, and we won’t let you do anything and we will come in periodically and kill you. Especially if you let the more active agents in Hamas do something to us, or the Islamic Jihad or whatever.

That’s Israeli’s policy, and eradication is not too strong word.”

Chicago activists show out for Palestine by Blake BG

On August 9, a few hundred protesters and several organizations held a rally to raise awareness about the continued onslaught on the Palestinian people by the Zionist Israeli government.

The event was hosted by the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine, which included the U.S. Palestinian Community Network and Students for Justice in Palestine…. One speaker noted that of the two million or more people who reside in Gaza, nearly 60% are children. According to Al Mayadeen, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the death toll of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation forces in 2022 rose to 129, including at least 34 children. Fifteen or more children were added to this total in the past week as a result of the genocidal attacks on Palestinian cities.

Unabated sufferings of Palestinians by Imran Khalid

… UN and other global human-rights organizations that are letting the Israeli politicians, whether Lapid, Netanyahu or their predecessors, kill innocent Palestinian civilians on a whim, merely to gratify their domestic political interests. Courtesy of the Abraham Accords and continued patronizing by the Western capitals, the arrogance and haughtiness in Israel’s behavior has reached the point where Israel considers itself above any accountability for what many believe to be a planned genocide of the Palestinians…

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] strongly condemns the continued violent attacks on Gaza by the Apartheid Israel military. The continued repression and genocide of innocent Palestinians must stop.

…Even though a truce was agreed upon on, the world can no longer be silent about the continued genocide of Palestinians by the Apartheid Israeli government. The people of Gaza live in constant fear. We have to stop Israel by boycotting all that the Israeli government uses to fund these inhumane attacks on the Palestinian people. We call on all trade unionists, all friendly countries to Boycott, Divestment and Sanction apartheid Israel.

How colonizers weaponize rape: reflections from the Palestinian case by Tamam Mohsen

In the case of Zionist settler-colonialism in Palestine, the goal of acquiring land led to the use of brutal tactics aimed at the dispossession and elimination of the indigenous population. Colonizers embraced sexual terrorization as an instrument for achieving this strategy. Rape, though still under-documented, played a role in the ethnic cleansing of indigenous Palestinians in 1948 and after. Many families fled their homes, in part due to their concerns over  their women being raped by Zionist forces. Indeed, it can be said that the conquest of land has gone hand in hand with sexual violence in the history of the Zionist ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

Following Israel’s latest massacre in Gaza: It’s high time for the UN to act to dismantle apartheid by the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC)

PLEASE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW AND SEND YOUR LETTER TO THE UN OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER ON THE PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE AND THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT PROSECUTOR.

It is crucial to remember that Israel’s latest massacre took place in the context of the criminal siege of Gaza. Already in its 15th year, the siege is older than most of the children murdered in Israel’s repeated massacres there since 2008. The siege deprives over two million Palestinians, the majority of them children, of basic necessities, including clean water, jobs, reliable electric power, as well as adequate housing, healthcare, and education. As a result, morbidity, mortality (especially infant mortality), stunted growth, and poverty rates have risen sharply, reducing the lives of people there to hell. Israel’s siege of Gaza is condemned by human rights experts as a crime against humanity, while activists and some historians have termed it, “incremental genocide”… The utter failure of the International Criminal Court and the United Nations, including the General Assembly, to hold Israel accountable for its prolonged and continued crimes against humanity makes them also key culprits in Israel’s recent massacre in Gaza.

LETTER: Holocaust atrocities do not justify Israel’s attacks on Palestinians on Business Day

PLEASE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW AND SEND YOUR LETTER TO THE UN OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER ON THE PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE AND THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT PROSECUTOR.

Palestinians are merely following the example of Polish Jews during the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto uprising, who so courageously resisted German Nazis. Israel’s recurring wars against the people of Gaza, including the currently termed Operation Breaking Dawn launched on August 5, clearly highlight the parallels between the Warsaw Ghetto and Gaza as an Israeli concentration camp. Allan Wolman’s repeated smears of everything South African ignore the reality that Israel is an apartheid state that is guilty of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

NST Leader: Israel’s barbarism on New Straits Times

PLEASE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW AND SEND YOUR LETTER TO THE UN OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER ON THE PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE AND THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT PROSECUTOR.

On Friday, barbarism was on full display when the Zionist regime bombarded Gaza without any provocation. On Saturday, The Guardian quoted health authorities in Gaza as saying that 24 Palestinians, adults and children, were killed in the unprovoked attack, including a 5-year-old girl. What is troubling is that Israel is proudly announcing to the world that it has set aside a week to turn the Gaza Strip into a killing field. Today is only day four. The last time the Zionist regime went on a genocidal rampage there was in May last year when it killed 256 Palestinians, 66 of them children. The blitz lasted 11 days.

Tanzeem Islami (TI) ameer Shujauddin Sheikh has strongly condemned the recent Israeli bombardment on Gaza strip killing dozens of Palestinians including women and children… Shujauddin lamented that Muslim countries normalising relations with Israel are actually becoming facilitators of Israel in Arabs’ genocide instead of helping their oppressed brothers in Islam.

In Gaza BDS gives us hope by the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC)

PLEASE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW AND SEND YOUR LETTER TO THE UN OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER ON THE PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE AND THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT PROSECUTOR.

For us Indigenous Palestinians, the growing impact of the BDS movement is one of our main beacons of hope. A former UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Richard Falk, described the siege of Gaza as “prelude to genocide.” While UN reports predicted that Gaza would be uninhabitable by 2020, over two million Palestinians in Gaza continue to live under inhumane conditions of immense suffering and deprivation.
