So it’s very important for us as Palestinians to see that solidarity worldwide with us. This is showing that we are not alone. And yesterday when we came and we saw the solidarity, the people who was gathering to support the flotilla, the team of the flotilla and the Palestinian cause, to be honest I was so, it was moving to see them. I know that they are supporting Palestine, but the way they were supporting Palestine, the strong emotion they have toward Palestinians, it was an, it gave a strong message for us, we are four Palestinians and one Israeli came here. It shows that there are still people who believe in justice and in the humanity. Especially that there are Israeli woman, Israeli Jew woman who is on board. And also this has given a message that we all together, Palestinian and Israeli, who believe in peace, we, we can live. It’s about occupation. It’s not about religion. It’s not about nationality. It’s About a systematic genocide, ethnic cleansing against Palestinians, and actually against all injustice around the world. When you support Palestine you support all the human causes.

Rivlin Addresses Spanish Parliament, Highlights Democratic Values, Tolerance on Jerusalem Post

While his address was largely self-congratulatory, telling lawmakers what they wanted to hear, his words only reached about half the elected officials who make up the Congress and Senate were present. Outside the parliament during his speech, there was a pro-Palestinian demonstration, at which protestors held banners on stating in Enlish: ”You are Zionists, not Children of Israel.  Stop Genocide in Palestine…Reuven Rivlin, nobody wants you to be in Spain.” The protestors asserted that Rivlin’s proper place was in prison for his crimes against the Palestinians.

Oscar Winners Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem Denounce Israeli ‘Genocide’ in Open Letter

Dozens of Spanish film stars, directors, musicians and writers, led by Oscar winners Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Pedro Almodovar, have denounced Israel’s incursion into Gaza.

In an open letter referenced by Europa Press and other Spanish media, they described Israel’s actions as “genocide.”

They also called on the European Union to “condemn the bombing by land, sea and air against the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip…”

The letter also said: “Gaza is living through horror these days, besieged and attacked by land, sea and air. Palestinians’ homes are being destroyed, they are being denied water, electricity [and] free movement to their hospitals, schools and fields while the international community does nothing.”

Others who signed the letter include directors Montxo Armendariz and Benito Zambrano; actors Lola Herrera, Eduardo Noriega and Rosa Maria Sarda; and musicians Amaral and Nacho Campillo.
