DHAKA was fortunate to have been the site once again for the screening of the International Film Festival, screened at the premises of the National Museum. A total of two hundred and fifty-two films were scheduled for screening from 14–22 January 2023 from seventy-one countries from all over the world

…‘Continuous Coverage,’ a 90 minute documentary by Palestinian director Emtyaz Al-Maghrabi, depicts the human rights situation in Palestine. The film reconstructs the deliberate shooting in cold blood of Shireen-al-Akleh, a Palestinian-American journalist on May 11, 2022 by members of the Israeli Defences Forces while providing news coverage…‘Continuous Coverage’ is not only a film on genocide and shameless acceptance of it by the world powers; it is a part and continuation of the valiant resistance of the Palestinian people. A blue, bullet proof PRESS vest and a sniper-shot to the head, just below the helmet line: this is the anatomy of a genocide.

A funeral for a nationally beloved journalist murdered by a colonial regime that is overrun by Zionist occupation forces who beat pallbearers and nearly overturn the coffin completely: this is the anatomy of a genocide.

International inaction at a fascist colonial ethno-state that slaughters Indigenous people at will, at random, and for nothing more or less than the “crime” of existing: this is the anatomy of a genocide.
