From August 5th to August 7th, forty-nine Palestinians, including seventeen children, were murdered in cold blood in air strikes by occupation forces throughout Gaza and over 350 Palestinians were wounded. As rallies, marches, vigils and social media campaigns continue to be organized around the world to honor the martyrs of Gaza and to defend the Palestinian right to resist, this toolkit remains a resource for all those fighting for Palestinian liberation and return.
In response to the occupation’s latest genocidal attack on Gaza, we have added the full list of the names of the martyrs in Gaza and high resolution posters of them at the bottom of the page. Law school faculty at a major university in New York has joined the ranks of educational and professional organizations supporting the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) and recognition of Palestinian rights… The resolution calls for a boycott of Israeli apartheid government and Israeli companies that take advantage of and support Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine, thereby systematically ending long standing relationships between major U.S. colleges like CUNY and those occupation entities. In doing so, the resolution calls out CUNY’s complicity “in the ongoing apartheid, genocide, and war crimes perpetrated by the state of Israel against the Palestinian people through its investments in and contracts with companies profiting off of Israeli war crimes.”

Al-Awda NY took a message of justice and accountability to the home of notorious Long Island extremist Zionist settler Justin “Yaakov” Fauci. Fauci moved from New York to invade and steal Palestinian lands including the Al-Kurd family home and became notorious for publicly admitting his crime when he stated, “If I don’t steal it, someone else is gonna” as he invaded the Palestinian home.
“It is a violation of U.S. federal law for Americans to engage in war crimes and genocide, it is shocking that there is impunity for such open acts of violence, and it is outrageous that New York State actively shelters, promotes and celebrates such violence, which is itself also a crime,” said attorney Lamis Deek.
The protest for Palestine in Manhattan this past month was one of a kind. Erected in wake of ongoing displacements, settlement expansions, and militarized upsurged in East Jerusalem, Palestinian voices have risen to the surface. Loud and clear, “Free Free Palestine, from the River to the Sea,” descendants of grandparents dispossessed of their land, freedom, and integrities are shouting out against Israeli apartheid and genocide.

This is the latest stage of the ongoing Nakba and the most aggressive plan since the 1967 Naksa to steal Palestinian land and expand illegal israeli settlements. It is further institutionalization of genocide.

The truth is that America has been a nationalist country for a long, long time. Our country has a habit of making itself the world police. We destabilize governments that go too far left through coups; we place embargos on socialist countries; we blindly support an apartheid state in the middle east that is actively committing genocide on Palestinian people while breaking international law to do it. And most of us don’t care. Most Americans are willing to turn a blind eye to American imperialism and war crimes because “America doesn’t do that. America is the good guy.” But we’re not.
