With this national ethos, negotiating without the explicit endorsement of a Palestinian state is seen as a rejection of the Palestinian national identity, and an acknowledgment that Israel and the Jewish people are here to stay. In short, for Mr. Abbas and Mr. Erekat, this approach is akin to national suicide.

Yet a national suicide of the Palestinians’ current political and cultural ethos is precisely what is needed for peace. The belief that the Jews have no right to the land and Israel is to be destroyed, which engenders a culture of hate and incitement, needs to end.

Holocaust Survivors join NYC’s Ad War, accuse Israel of genocide by Rasha B. Foda

Now, New Yorker’s have yet another ad to chew on, this time sponsored by Holocaust survivors. The group of 300 survivors and their descendants have chipped in to buy an ad in the New York Times, condemning Israeli atrocities against Palestinians, which they unabashedly describe as – yes, genocide. And if that weren’t blasphemous enough, they call for a “full economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel.”

Please read the following letter, sent by 327 Jewish survivors and descendants of survivors and victims of the Nazi genocide published in New York Times 23 Aug 2014… “We must raise our collective voices and use our collective power to bring about an end to all forms of racism, including the ongoing genocide of Palestinian people. We call for an immediate end to the siege against and blockade of Gaza. We call for the full economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel. “Never again” must mean NEVER AGAIN FOR ANYONE!”
