Criticism of the zionist settler-colonial project, as well as the organizations on campus who have consistently demonstrated their support for it, is absolutely valid and necessary. The University of Wisconsin-Madison currently occupies ancestral Ho-Chunk land, an occupation only made possible through centuries of ethnic cleansing and genocide. The brutal history of the “United States” is similar to that of “Israel” in its subjugation, exploitation, dehumanization, and genocide of those who stand in their way of mass theft of land from indigenous peoples.

Actions demand NY close groups backing settler genocide in Palestine by Liberation News

The whole world recoiled at the May media footage of racist Israeli settlers threatening to kill and beating up Palestinian people in order to steal their homes in the Sheik Jarrah and Silwan neighborhoods of East Jerusalem. The press, however, did not point out  many of these arch-racist settlers are actually Americans with dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship, whose real “home” is Long Island. Nor was it explained that the U.S. and state governments are complicit in these crimes because they allow, and even give tax exempt status to organizations which mobilize these home-grown racists for ethnic cleansing and genocide in occupied Palestine.

More than 200 protesters attended the Jan. 6 “Women’s Rally to Free Ahed Tamimi and all Palestinian Child Prisoners” in front of the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles… The event was co-sponsored by Jews for Palestinian Right of Return and Al-Awda (the Palestine Right to Return Coalition), and endorsed by Jewish Voice for Peace-Los Angeles, North America BDS, American Indian Movement (AIM), Black Lives Matter (BLM) Pasadena, CODE PINK and Progressive Democrats of America (PDA)… “We know what oppression looks like. We know what genocide looks like,” said Idle No More organizer Lydia Ponce, citing the parallels to the Native American oppression in the U.S.

Jews for Palestinian Right of Return: Tell Kanye West: Don’t be “Heartless” — Don’t Play Apartheid Israel!

The need is more urgent than ever. In 2014, 2,200 people (including 551 children) were murdered in Israel’s 51-day assault on Gaza. This past July, Ali Dawabsheh, 18-months old, was burnt alive in an arson attack on his home in Douma in the occupied West Bank. Hours later, 14-year-old Laith Khalidi died when Israeli occupation forces shot at civilians protesting baby Ali’s death.

Such injustice is but the latest chapter in more than a century of Zionist colonialism, dispossession, ethnic cleaning, and genocide—including Israel’s very establishment through the uprooting and displacement of over 750,000 Palestinians during the 1947-1948 Nakba (Catastrophe). Indeed, eighty percent of the 1.8 million people sealed into Gaza are refugees.

You spoke truth to power in 2005 by declaring, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” Won’t you stand up for justice today by showing you care about the Palestinian people?
