Kashmir and Palestine share the struggle for self determination against colonial occupation by Zainab Ramahi

Many have written about an imminent ethnic cleansing in Kashmir. As anthropologist Patrick Wolfe has noted, “the question of genocide is never far from discussions of settler colonialism.” As a Palestinian and Kashmiri there is little escape from the violence of the colonial machine. As I sit with my family and wait on news – any news – the only thing I can think to do is write.

Has India abandoned Palestine? by Askiah Adam

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

INDIA has recently voted in support of Israel at the United Nations for the first time in its post-independence history. At the UN’s Economic and Social Council on June 6 she voted with Israel to deny a Palestinian non-governmental organisation, the Shahed, an observer status.
To many this may appear innocuous. Israel has persuaded India that Shahed is a terrorist organisation and not, as it claims to be, an NGO fighting for the human rights of Palestinians. But under threat of genocide is not survival contingent upon resistance? Why not give Shahed an observer status? How dangerous can that be?

Since 2005, the Palestinian-led global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement has paved the way for grassroots mobilization in this direction by Apoorva Gautam

“…the seminal distinction between Combatants and non-combatants are one of the ground principles of International Humanitarian Laws (or Laws of War) which come into play during war and armed conflicts. If unarmed civilians become fair game for armed government soldiers, since they are now regarded as combatants, then commission of killing, sexual violence, enforced disappearance, torture, foisting false cases which are ruinous for affected people, become the new “normal”.
…The governments and peoples of the world must demand justice against those guilty of these crimes against humanity. The international community can not remain silent in the face of the genocide of the Palestinian people. We demand that Israel submit to international law and comply with UN resolutions. Also, that our governments break diplomatic and commercial ties with the segregationist regime of Israeli apartheid.”

India blames Pakistan for Rohingya issue by Sultan M Hali

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

India has joined the fray for two reasons; firstly, the current ruling junta of India, which is guided by hate and bigotry of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and led by the “Butcher of Gujarat”, Narendra Modi, is a sworn enemy of the Muslims; secondly, in the garb of the repression against the Rohingyas, Modi finds it expedient to blame Pakistan for its alleged support to the downtrodden Muslims of Myanmar. Readers may recall that Israel is committing unprecedented atrocities against the Palestinians in Gaza but instead of condemning the genocide of Muslims, India embraces Israel as its mentor and seeks new methods of inflicting violence on the Muslims of IOK.

“Forgive Us Dear Palestinians, We Have Lost Gandhi and Deserted You” by Manoj Kumar Jha on The Citizen

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

In the noise of ‘strategic and commercial treaties’ with the true friend, my Prime Minister and his delegation members conveniently forgot Nakba– an instance of ethnic-cleansing incomparable in human history took place. They also chose to be callously indifferent to the de-nationalisation of your history.

Forgive us our Palestinian friends! Seventy years after our independence we have come to be partners in the crime committed against you, by aligning with those who are responsible for perpetrating ‘incremental genocide.’

Poetic Hospitality by Mamta Sagar

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

The world is witnessing the plight of Palestine which is going through an inhuman and politically motivated suffocation by Israel. The West Bank and the Gaza Strip in particular have been targeted by pure genocide, executed in the name of ‘waging war’, while the ‘enemy’ has neither the proper weapons nor strength to sustain anything at all.

Hindutva Fascists And Barbaric Zionists Are Natural Partners! by Anand Singh

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

Last year, when Israel was carrying out one of the most barbaric genocides of this century by bombarding the Gaza strip, justice-loving people across the world, including India, were out on streets to protest. But it was the same time, when frenzied triumphalism of Hindutva fascists was at its peak in the corridors of power. Now more than a year has elapsed since the Hindutva fascists came to power in India under the leadership of Narendra Modi. As expected, the BJP government has made it clear through its conduct in the last one year that Hindutva fascists and Zionists are the ideological kins. To strengthen this bonhomie, Narendra Modi has announced his visit to Israel. As a gesture of friendship, Modi government has thrice abstained from voting in United Nations in the last three months, instead of voting against Israel.

One year after Operation Protective Edge by Avisekh Konar

Please make a donation at our Indiegogo fundraising campaign.

Every child in Gaza, seven years or younger, has, in their little lifetime, seen three of the most murderous atrocities committed by Israel. Israel calls this periodic assault of Gaza “mowing the grass” — a chilling phrase which typifies the systematic dehumanisation of the Palestinian people, necessary for the acquiescence and approval of the Israeli population for the genocidal campaigns of their government.
