“Israel is a country that openly practices ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” Mugilan said. “Even today innocent Palestinian school kids are being executed by Israel’s state-sponsored terror. It is important to show that as a community we stand in solidarity with the oppressed and the underprivileged.”
Mugilan also objected to claims that BDS is anti-semitic, saying it is specifically targeted at the Israeli government, not anyone of a particular religion or ethnicity.
“BDS is not a campaign that targets Jews but is a campaign against the practices and policies of a state that exercises genocide, crimes against humanity, acts of racism, and apartheid,” he said.

Palestine after the May 14 massacre by Hamid Dabashi

With their bold, brilliant, and historic move called the Great March of Return, Palestinians outwitted all their political leaders (Fatah and Hamas alike), turned the clock back 70 years to the moment of their pernicious expulsion from their homeland, and put the Israeli occupiers on the defensive. The Saudi Zionist Prince Mohammed bin Salman had told them “to shut up”. They showed him they wouldn’t.

Because of their heroism, the Israeli flag, the very term “Israel” is now  – as it has always been – synonymous with mass murderers, with massacres, with land thieves, with incremental genocide, with war crimes. All Palestinians did was to demonstrate for their right to return, and Israeli soldiers began shooting at them en masse.

Gaza is facing genocide. Why are we and our South African government now so silent? by Terry Crawford-Browne

In terms of international law, the Palestine catastrophe is a matter of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Let us on Nabka Day, 15th send a message of solidarity to Palestinians, but equally to our government and the world that Israel is an apartheid and gangster state.

Students stand with Palestine on Red Flag Australia

Bachelor of arts and education student Jordan Rizk implored students to keep campaigning: “I’m here for unconditional support for the Palestinian people, who undergo apartheid, decades of genocide, and I’m here as a young Arab male to continue that legacy of my ancestors who fought against this colonial ideology.

“The reason why I came today was to give a voice to uplift those in the community at UNSW who want to promote the Palestinian cause.”

The protests were organised by the state branch of the National Union of Students as part of the Books Not Bombs campaign, which aims to end the links between universities and the military.

John Steppling: UN A Surreal Comedy of Cowardice on Tasnim

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

I think the response from the Netanyahu government reflects a kind of almost delusional arrogance that has been seen before, but rarely this starkly. They believe they are above all international law and they have a total indifference to world opinion. And Avigdor Lieberman, the defense secretary stated that nobody in Gaza was innocent. A normal government would not openly state something that is tantamount to an admission that Palestinians are meant to be eliminated.

Contextualizing the Great March of Return by Haidar Eid

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

In the last 10 years, Israel has launched three massive genocidal wars of aggression on the occupied Gaza Strip, many of our civilians were massacred by its indiscriminate bombing, condemned by UN experts and leading human rights organizations as war crimes and “possible” crimes against humanity. These assaults left over 3,800 Palestinians dead, predominantly civilians, of whom hundreds were children. Another 15,000 Palestinians were injured. We, the 2 million Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, the overwhelming majority of whom are refugees who were violently expelled and dispossessed from our homes by Zionist forces in 1948, were subjected to three weeks (2009), 2 weeks (2012) and 51 days (2014) of relentless Israeli state terror, whereby Israeli warplanes systematically targeted civilian areas, reduced whole neighborhoods and vital civilian infrastructure to rubble and destroyed scores of schools, including several run by UNRWA, where civilians were taking shelter. This came after years of an ongoing, crippling, deadly medieval Israeli siege of Gaza, a severe form of collective punishment described by Richrad Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights as “a prelude to genocide.”

What next for Gaza after Israel’s Land Day massacre? by Haidar Eid

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

After imposing a deadly blockade on the two million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip for 11 years and launching three massive, genocidal attacks in the last seven years – aided by the complicity of the so-called international community and the silence of reactionary Arab regimes – last week, Israel has committed a new massacre against peaceful demonstrators commemorating Land Day and asserting their right of return.

The “Great Return March” and Another Massacre in Gaza on Muftah

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

For this year’s anniversary, Palestinians in Gaza organized a collective, anti-colonial demonstration. It not only addressed Israel’s failure to respect and honor the right of return for Palestinians refugees (as promulgated by UN Resolution 194), but also the increasing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Due to Israel’s decade-long sea, land, and air siege, Gazans have been suffering from shortages of food, water, and electricity, while collectively ghettoized and incarcerated in the world’s most densely populated territory. On top of that, Israel has regularly bombarded Gaza – including during its genocidal 2014 war– and used it as a testing ground for its military technology.

The Fear of Palestinian Existence by Denijal Jegić

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

Fear has consistently shaped Zionism’s approach towards the indigenous Palestinians. As Palestinians have been blamed for merely standing in the way of the colonizer, their removal which has entailed multidimensional policies of ethnic cleansing and genocide, has been rhetorically rationalized through Orientalist transformations of Palestinians from the original owners of the land into “Islamist” terrorists. While Palestinians face a multitude of structural and physical violence, reoccurring culminations of Israeli aggressions resulting in the mass production of Palestinian death have repeatedly highlighted the always-already dehumanized position of Palestinians in the Western political and public sphere.
