Amnesty International: Whitewashing Another Massacre by Paul de Rooij

It is this history that must serve as the foundation of any report that attempts to describe both the intent of the participating parties and the relative consequences… To determine the reasons behind Israeli actions, one only has to read what their Dr. Strangeloves say – it is no secret. The aim is to create miserable conditions to drive the Palestinians off their land, warehouse the population in an open air prison called Gaza, and to disproportionately repress any Palestinian resistance. Israelis have to “kill and kill and kill, all day”. Such pathological reasoning put Israeli actions into perspective; they are major crimes, possibly genocidal. Recognition of such crimes has some consequences…

Amnesty however refuses to acknowledge the serious nature of Israeli crimes, by using an intellectually bankrupt subterfuge; it insists that as a rights-based organization it cannot refer to historical context – doing so would be considered “political” in its warped jargon.

Let’s Talk About Genocide: Inferring Israel’s Genocidal Intent by Tali Shapiro

Contrary to the analysis of the Dugard report, both Ryan and Shaw’s arguments point to the conclusion that the additional “several reasonable conclusions”available, actually allow us to infer genocidal intent from the factual circumstances, rather than not:

the ICTR recognized that— since, absent extraordinary circumstances or a confession, direct evidence of genocidal intent will very rarely if ever be available— courts must rely on inferences from the surrounding factual circumstances in order to determine whether a defendant acted with the requisite genocidal intent. [Ryan, p. 151]

Factual Circumstances: A Roadmap to Genocide

Ryan goes on to list “four key factors… that courts look to when engaging in this highly-contextual analysis” [p.152]:

1. statements indicating genocidal intent;

2. the scale of the atrocities committed;

3. systematic targeting of the protected group; and

4. evidence suggesting that commission of the genocidal actus reus was consciously planned.

“Concentrate” and “exterminate”: Israel parliament deputy speaker’s Gaza genocide plan by Ali Abunimah

Citizens and public authorities around the world should attempt to have Feiglin arrested and prosecuted under the Genocide Convention for his statements, should he set foot in their territories.

His abominable plan comes as the death toll from Israel’s ongoing slaughter in Gaza reaches 1,752 people, including ten persons killed on Sunday morning when Israel once again bombed a United Nations-run school being used as a shelter, this time in the southern town of Rafah

In addition to outright acts of genocide, punishable crimes under the convention include “direct and public incitement to commit genocide”; “conspiracy to commit genocide” and “complicity in genocide.”

Any fair-minded prosecutor would see that Feiglin’s statements provide ample probable cause for action under the convention.

Israeli lawmaker’s call for genocide of Palestinians gets thousands of Facebook likes by Ali Abunumah

A day before Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Khudair was kidnapped and burned alive allegedly by six Israeli Jewish youths, Israeli lawmaker Ayelet Shaked published on Facebook a call for genocide of the Palestinians. It is a call for genocide because it declares that “the entire Palestinian people is the enemy” and justifies its destruction, “including its elderly and its women, its cities and its villages, its property and its infrastructure.” It is a call for genocide because it calls for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to “little snakes.” If Shaked’s post does not meet the legal definition of a call for genocide then nothing does.
