Israel and the “G” Word: Gaza Genocide And Arab Fratricide by Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich

Lets not mince words. Israelis are committing genocide in Gaza. But the United Nations is loath to use the “G” word and it us using the “C” (condemn) word instead. Why?  Money talks. The top financier of the United Nations is America with a whopping 22.00% in direct funds (followed by Japan 10.83%, Germany 7.14%, France 5.59%, and GB 5.18%),  if the United Nations called out the genocide in Gaza, its top financier would have to be punished for its complicity.

According to Article 3 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, persons committing genocide or complicity in genocide shall be punished “whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals.”  The United States not only supports and funds the ongoing genocide in Gaza, replenishes Israel with more funds and weaponry, but it also uses its political clout to enable Israel to continue its ruthless crimes against humanity…

The American government is not alone in its complicity in genocide or in its incitement.   Mainstream media networks and commentators who paint a picture of an Israel “self-defense” to give room to the continued genocide are complicit and must be punished.  But in the opinion of this writer, the vilest partners in this crime are the Egyptian and Saudi leaders committing fratricide.

Egypt’s military coup leader and the illegitimate president of Egypt, al-Sisi, whom the Israel ambassador called a ‘hero for all Jews’ , has trapped the Gazans so that Israel can eliminate them all. Genocide will prove to be lucrative business for the Egyptians…

Gaza: Genocide Made in the USA and our responsibilities to defend (Sara Flounders at Workers World Party assembly)

“We don’t know how long this attack is going to go. How long it could possibly go. We know with pain the comparisons to the Warsaw ghetto. We know what the Nazis did to the Warsaw ghetto. And everyone here who has seen any of the videos of the attacks on schools, the attacks on a playground, kids on swings, 4 young boys playing soccer on a beach. These aren’t military targets. But maybe the worst target was the bombing of the power station. Gaza’s flat and sandy and when you knock out the power, then the ability of even pumping water for sanitation, for sewage. That is beyond criminal. That is genocide.”

Article about Genocide and Israel: More voices describe Gaza slaughter as a ‘genocide’

A growing chorus of voices internationally is describing the Gaza slaughter as a genocide. Here are some of those voices and lastly, a definition of the term from a leading human rights lawyer, who says that genocide entails two things, 1, the intent to destroy a people in whole or part, and 2, acts of genocide, killing members of that group or inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the physical destruction, in whole or part, of the people you’re trying to destroy…

Convoys of youths and community members departed from several community centres at the Burj Shemali and Rashidieh refugee camps, near Tyre (Sur) in Southern Lebanon, to a local beach. Upon arrival, a Palestinian student band played various national songs as students tied nametags for the dead to red, black, white, and green balloons.
The community members held signs calling on the world to stop Israel’s mass slaughter in Gaza and emphasising the genocidal nature of the Israeli offensive. They also proudly embraced their right to resist the Israeli occupation, as well as their legal right to return to Palestine.

Dozens of Spanish film stars, directors, musicians and writers, led by Oscar winners Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Pedro Almodovar, have denounced Israel’s incursion into Gaza.

In an open letter referenced by Europa Press and other Spanish media, they described Israel’s actions as “genocide.”

Gaza Genocide by Salman H. Abu Sitta

For 66 years Gaza Strip (the present day Auschwitz) was subject to incremental Genocide by Israel. Gaza Strip itself was created by Israel in its earliest war crimes.

In the spring and summer of 1948 Israel uprooted all the population of 247 Palestinian villages in southern Palestine and herded them in a tiny strip, hence named Gaza Strip. Thus the largest and longest-duration concentration camp in the world was created by Israel. Since then Israel continued to exterminate as many refugees as possible.

If Gaza Isn’t a Genocide, What Is?: Discourse as Resistance by Megan MacKenzie

There is a need to at least consider the term genocide and its application to Israel and Palestine… It is time for an honest assessment of Israeli actions- not just in this recent Gaza ‘offensive’ but in terms of its entire method of occupying and controlling Palestinians and their land. Those of us studying international relations and international law have an obligation to try to transcend the discursive politics and the growing pressure to avoid, qualify or stifle our expressions and reactions to the politics of the region.

Graphic images taken from Shujaya in the shelling’s immediate aftermath featured images of women’s and children’s bodies scattered around the neighborhood’s streets, ostensibly killed while trying to escape indiscriminate strikes.
“No words can describe what Shujaya has gone through,” a paramedic said as he searched for missing bodies in the rubble.
“Massacre,” a nearby resident interjected.
“We’re facing genocide,” the paramedic went on to say.
