Buffalo solidarity with Palestine by Nigel Bouvart

Activists from Workers World Party, Democratic Socialists of America and Food Not Bombs gathered in Buffalo, New York, Aug. 24, in solidarity with Palestine against Israeli occupation and terrorism… Demonstrators chanted “Palestine is on our side, Zionism is genocide!” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” Speakers drew connections between institutional racism, by the carceral system at home, and the genocide of Palestinians, and they called on the U.S. to cease arming and funding the Israeli settler-colonial regime and to stop sending its police, a terroristic occupying force, to Israel for training.

An open letter to the National Political Committee by Las Vegas Democratic Socialists of America

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

Bowman’s actions are not abstract. By directly supporting Israeli apartheid and endorsing Zionism, Bowman condones the continued Israeli settlement of Palestinian land, as well as the forced displacement, genocide, and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. This is happening in real time —as we see in Sheikh Jarrah and in the open-air prison of the Gaza Strip, for example. This stands in direct opposition to the portion of the national platform that calls for solidarity with Palestinians and “for equality, human rights, and self-determination, including the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.”

Protest outside White House as Israeli PM seeks assurance of U.S. support for apartheid on Liberation News

Noting that Biden and Bennett were meeting to solidify their ties, she said: “It is further proof — as if more is needed — that the peace process has always and will continue to be a sham. It is evidence that we as Palestinians were never meant to have a say in our future, but are instead expected to take some sort of deal handed to us from above … When we resist as a people, Biden’s response is to invite our oppressor into his home. He claims progressive values, but what is progressive about genocide? After the Zionist regime dropped bombs on Gaza for 11 days straight, Biden sent an extra $735 million in weapons from Boeing to the Zionist regime.”

Marching in a broad circle around the White House grounds, the protesters chanted, “Bennett, Bennet you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide!”
