Over 260 Days Into the Gaza Ceasefire, Israeli Genocide and Palestinian Suffering Continue by Quds News Network

 Over eight months into the Gaza ceasefire, which took effect on October 10, the Israeli occupation continues its genocidal war on the Palestinian enclave, killing over 1000 and restricting the entry of desperately needed
aid, with no pause in the attacks or the suffering.

… Israel violated the ceasefire agreement over 3,465 times. The average number of violations committed by Israeli forces has reached 13.2 violations per day, according to the Gaza Government Media Office on Monday (June 29, 2026).

The Gaza Government Media Office said on Monday that 1,045 Palestinians have been killed and 3,380 others wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Among the victims were over 300 children, women and elders.

According to data from the Palestinian Health Ministry, 61 percent of those killed (614) are men aged 18-60, and 11 percent (109) are women aged 18-60. 25 percent (253) are children under 18. 3 percent are adults (15 men and 12 women) aged 60 and over.

Genocidal Killings Increase in Gaza Despite so called ‘Ceasefire’ and ‘Board of Peace’ by Al-Haq

Al-Haq believes that Israel’s practices are indicative of a pattern of genocidal intent represented in pushing Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip in conditions unfit for human survival, to destroy the Palestinian group. The silence and the complicity of some of the “Peace Board” members can only serve one single goal, i.e., the entrenchment of Isreal’s settler colonial apartheid regime in Palestine at the expense of the Palestinian people and in breach of their right inalienable right to self-determination, contrary to well established principles of international law. The ICJ’s July 2024 Palestine Advisory Opinion recognized Israel’s presence in the Palestinian territory as unlawful and called for its termination without delay.

The dead and wounded arrived at hospitals in an endless stream, children were covered in dust and blood, men carried small bodies wrapped in shrouds, and wails of grief rose in the air

These horrific scenes, a daily feature of the past two years of Israel’s acute genocidal assault, had returned again.

‘Genocide stopped only in media’: Gaza endures daily bombings a month into truce by Maha Hussaini

Beyond the daily bombardments and killings, Gaza residents also face the constant menace of Israeli drones.

In parts of Gaza City, drones broadcast threatening messages, ordering locals to “hand over bodies” of Israeli captives and playing disturbing sounds – including ambulance sirens – late at night.

“The last time I heard the drone was three days ago, right above my house,” said Anas Moeen, 30. 

“There’s something deliberate about the recordings they broadcast,” he added. 

“They are incomplete, distorted, and unclear – I think that’s intentional to spread panic and anxiety.”

Moeen added that their presence during the ceasefire is clearly meant to unsettle residents and send a message: the army is close and still watching.

When the Guns Were Supposed to Fall Silent: How Many Palestinians Have Died by Israel Since Ceasefire? by Quds News Network

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office and the Palestinian Health Ministry on Saturday, 241 Palestinians have been killed, including over 100 children, and 614 injured since October 10 in Israeli attacks.

As of October 28, Israeli forces had conducted 52 shootings and 55 shellings across Gaza, the Office reported.

October 28 and the morning of October 29 were the bloodiest since the ceasefire began, with over 109 people killed in just 12 hours. Among the victims were 52 children, 23 women, four elderly people, and seven people with disabilities, the Office noted.

The Ministry confirmed that 69,169 have been killed and 170,685 others injured in the genocide in Gaza which began in Ocotber 7, 2023.

If the Israeli fire has not ceased, by definition there can be no ceasefire. It is the media’s job to accurately and objectively relay this fact.

But true to form, the UK media –  which cloaked Israel’s heinous atrocities in euphemism, framed the aggressor as the victim, and perpetually sold a genocide as “self-defence”, appears determined to prove that its playbook still has a few chapters left.
