Against Normalisation of Israel: Webinar with Omar Barghouti and Tali Shapiro on Jewish Network for Palestine

PLEASE TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW AND SEND YOUR LETTER TO THE UN OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL ADVISER ON THE PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE AND THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT PROSECUTOR.

“So when we talk about anti-normalization, it’s not an intellectual exercise. People-families, children, parents- with lives, dreams, hopes, and aspirations- just like each and every one of you- their lives are at the end of every action we take when Israel is in question. There is no way to disentangle a colonized people from the regime that has propped itself on top of them. Any policy, any action, any transaction that Israel makes- economic, cultural,  academic- is at the expense of Palestinian lives and existence as a people. Because the colonial goal is the elimination of the indigenous identity so that the colonists may claim the place and its history. And by erasing the people, erasing the the sin of their erasure. This, of course is an oxymoron. But logic never stopped a genocide, sanctions do. “ (40:17)

“I have not said anything about the hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting the government and the number of times they use ‘fascsist’… in the last couple of months, I’ve never seen the F-word being used so much  in the Israaeli media, it’s unbelievable. Of course it’ll be an extremely difficult period for Palestinians, as we’re seeing from Huwara onwards. It’s the first time that Israeli ministers openly support genocide. I mean all of them do. From the most liberal, who have committed acts that can qualify as possibly genocide- Rabin and Peres, you know, the Peaceniks. (Ben Gvir is much better than them, he has not yet committed any acts of massive ethnic cleansing; Rabin and Peres have.) So all of them agree, but now we have ministers openly saying things that everyone had hidden before.” (1:28:32)

Israelis respond to Nick Cave’s proclamation of love by Boycott! Supporting the Palestinian BDS Call from Within

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

It is for this decades-long, intricate system of oppression against a disembodied indigenous population, including seven million refugees prohibited from return, that peaks in genocidal episodes of extermination in the Gaza strip, that we are dumbfounded by your apathy and callus comments. As artists, human rights defenders, and fans- Palestinians, Israelis, and activists from all around the globe- did all they could to engage you in conversation, for months, you opted to ignore us all. Your claim that somehow we have the ability, or the will to silence you is fallacious, and it rings careless in the face of the fact that Palestinian culture and heritage, along with its people, has been undergoing Israel’s erasure for the past seven decades. So successful was this erasure, that you neglected to mention Palestinians in your own statement, as if they aren’t the reason you felt you had to make the statement in the first place. As if they don’t exist.

From Israeli citizens, in solidarity with the Movement for Black Lives by Boycott! Supporting the Palestinian BDS Call from Within

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

In the struggles for liberation of both Palestinians and African Americans, we see the defenders of the unjust and oppressive status quo frame the prevailing narrative and effectively silence the demands of the liberation movements. In particular, slander and defamation has been a main tool. We reject and condemn such despicable tactics. We reaffirm our solidarity with your movement and commit to supporting it in any way we can.

The common cause of the defenders of Israel and the defenders of white supremacy exposes both of them for what they are, separately and at their intersections. We thank our opponents for making it very clear which side they are on, when it comes to justice and equality. We at Boycott from Within hold your principles and your work in the highest esteem. You can count on our continued support as you advance them. We would be proud to count ourselves among M4BL’s allies – on the side which opposes racism and oppression.

An Open Letter to Boris Johnson and to the British Public, from Israeli Citizens Who Support Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

As citizens of Israel, we have little hope for a change from within. We fear the worst has yet to come for the Palestinian people, with all those living here paying the price. In Gaza, campaigns of mass killing have been pursued time and again, with the residents regarded as guinea-pigs in a hi-tech weapons lab. We are also extremely concerned about the rise of extrajudicial executions in the West Bank, including in hospitals and lynch mobs within the 67 borders, stirred by Israeli officials who have encouraged the Jewish population to take up arms and shoot-to-kill Palestinians.

We are concerned by genocidal statements issued by senior members of the Israeli government. We call on the British public to heed our warning and respond to the 2005 Palestinian civil society call for Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS). We do not raise this alarm lightly, and we urge concerned citizens all over the world to take action now – boycott, divest and disinvest from, and sanction Israel until it complies with international law and conventions, ends its military occupation and apartheid policies, and grants indigenous Palestinian refugees their full rights by acknowledging international law.
