In the Israeli election, the options are all bleak for the Palestinians

Mr Lieberman’s comment, prompted Younis Al Sayyed, a columnist in the Sharjah-based daily Al Khaleej, to note that this was not the first time a Zionist terrorist had threatened to slaughter Palestinians.

“The genocide against Palestinians was born out of the Zionist movement’s womb and implemented by Zionist gangs even before Israel was established,” he wrote.

In reality, the movement’s history abounds with such transgressions, but this is the first time that criminal practices and abominable occupation are so blatantly portrayed as an official state policy.

Students for Justice in Palestine at Sydney University condemns unprovoked violence against peaceful protest

“I find it deeply disturbing that violence was used against students engaging in peaceful protest,” said Christopher Warren, SJP Treasurer. “Views that normalise genocide and defend war crimes should be consistently challenged at every opportunity.” SJP is committed to opposing Israeli war crimes, and will continue to express our right to peaceful demonstration against genocide apologists on campus.

Cease Fire, Resume Genocide: An interview with Dr. Jacob Smith* by Justin Podur

Dr. Jacob Smith (name changed) is a North American physician who has visited Gaza several times, working at several hospitals there in both clinical and training roles. I spoke with him about the medical system in Gaza and the state of Gaza under the current, post August-2014 intensified siege…

The people within Gaza are motivated, determined to be independent and have their own health care system that they develop and that they optimize. The reason this is not happening is solely because of the occupation and a blockade that forbids supplies, and rather than the very rapid genocidal campaign of the war, after the ceasefire none of the conditions have been respected.

Berkeley Voice letters: Curtis V. Manning

Israel has subjected the Palestinian people to ethnic cleansing and ongoing genocide — killing, destroying homes and farms, food crops, and assassinating their politicians. No wonder the Palestinians don’t like the Israelis.

Iran, Israel and the Question of Nuclear Threat by Dr. Nasir Khan

During his speech, the members rose on their feet repeatedly as if they heard something novel. What he offered was only a theatrical performance that could easily have moved a Sunday school congregation but was hardly worth a fig for experienced legislators and politicians. Indeed, his deceptive rhetoric in his fluent American English was well suited for the audience. However, a few things did not tally with facts. First, he is not a messianic figure or a hero. Netanyahu is a vile politician, a ruthless Zionist leader who has committed the horrendous crime of genocide in Gaza only a few months earlier. ‘The fact that his obnoxious performance was received so warmly in Congress … is not surprising, but it is nonetheless discouraging for anyone interested in peace and foreign policy restraint,’ wrote Daniel Larison in The American Conservative.

PACBI to Gregory Porter: “Live up to your words and do not commit musical genocide”

In your latest album Liquid Spirt, you sing ‘I do not agree, this is not for me, no musical genocide. I will not commit, nor will I submit to a musical genocide, I will not let it be’.
We are writing to you from the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), a member of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement in Palestine, to urge you to cancel your Tel Aviv gig of March 20th [1] and not to play for Israel’s regime of occupation, colonialism and apartheid, as lending your name to this regime is tantamount to committing what you call a “musical genocide.”

Statement for Launch of 11th Israeli Apartheid Week 2015 by Children of Mandela, Kathrada, Sisulu, Dadoo, Naude, Chikane and Other South African Struggle Stalwarts

There is a growing momentum and tide within the world of culture for example, amongst well known sports people, celebrities, musicians, actors and comedians. From Selena Gomez to Mark Rufallo, Penelope Cruz, John Cusack, John Legend and other high profile celebrities all come out during Israel’s attacks on Gaza, using social media and other platforms, on the issue of Palestine. Some have tweeted #FreePalestine while others have gone further in slamming the Israeli attacks on Gaza as a “genocide”. And the number that have joined the boycott of Israel is growing on a daily basis.

The groundswell of support for the Palestinian struggle and BDS campaign, coming from all quarters of the academic and cultural community and even major corporations, in many ways is a result of the practical, strategic and goal-orientated boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) of Israel movement that is capturing the world by storm. BDS offers a non-violent route and path for us to channel our energies.

Kayhan: A U.S-Backed Genocide in Gaza

The international community must assume its responsibilities regarding the Zionist occupation of West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem al-Quds and call for an immediate end to the systematic punishment, land expropriation, home demolitions and slow genocide.

Instead of branding Hamas as a “terrorist” group, Egyptian government officials, likewise, must lift the criminal blockade and publicly and unequivocally demand the immediate and unilateral withdrawal of all Zionist military forces from the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 as well as the dismantlement of all illegal settlements. As a Muslim nation, it’s the least they could do.
