54. On the basis of the information set out above, the Republic of T0rkiye avails itself of the right conferred upon it by Article 63, paragraph 2, of the Statute to intervene in the proceedings in the case concerning the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip (South Africa v. Israel). The Republic of Tiirkiye is of the opinion that the present Declaration meets the requirements set out in Article 63 of the Statute and Article 82 of the Rules and respectfully requests that the Court declare it admissible.
