These forms of violence signify two related yet disparate relationships between healthcare and the strategy of settler colonization. On one hand, colonial powers require well-staffed hospitals and advanced medical care to ensure the continued presence of healthy, able-bodied settlers and the soldiers who defend them. On the other, settler-colonizers actively decimate local healthcare delivery systems that serve Palestinians, in Palestine and elsewhere, a strategy for advancing genocide.
