UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, International Criminal Court Prosecutor, International Court of Justice President: Investigate the Possibility that Israel is Committing the Crime of Genocide Against the Indigenous Palestinian People.
“Tony is completely correct by “free speech”, it’s not an unlimited [inaudible], you can’t shout “fire” in a crowded theatre, and nor indeed can you organize to commit genocide and eliminate an ethnic group. That’s not legitimate free speech. Someone’s mentioned earlier a distinction between talking about genocide and organizing genocide. This is a distinction of no meaning whatsoever… One of the things that windes me about “free speech” is that it tries to, or it diverts attention away from the fact that there are more things in the world than speech. There are actions in the world. The Palestinians are oppressed, not just through speech.”
