Israel Isn’t an “Apartheid State.” It’s Worse Than That. by Dr. Craig Considine

Please TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and send your letter to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the International Criminal Court Prosecutor.

Certainly, there is a strong case for Apartheid here. But perhaps we are downplaying the true severity of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians… So if Israel is not – in theory – an Apartheid state, what kind of state is it? Let us consider Israel as a Genocidal state. As defined by the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, Article 2, genocide consists of “any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group as such”…

BDS: A Global Movement for Freedom & Justice by Omar Barghouti

Make a donation at our Indiegogo fundraising campaign right now.

In challenging Israel’s oppression, the global BDS campaign does not call for Israel to be treated according to higher or lower standards than those that apply to any other state committing similar crimes and violations of international law. Although Israel is by no means the most atrocious offender around the world, it is the only ongoing offender that has constantly been treated as an honorary member of the Western club of “democracies,” with the Holocaust cynically — and quite irrelevantly — summoned as a smokescreen to cover up this collusion. The virtually unparalleled state of exceptionalism and impunity that Israel enjoys today allows it to pursue its agenda of apartheid, ethnic cleansing and slow-genocide against the indigenous people of Palestine without any regard to international law or concern about possible punitive measures for violating it. As some progressive Jewish intellectuals have stated recently, “Never Again!” must always be understood to mean: never again to anyone.

The Great Divide: Netanyahu and Reality by Robert Fantina

In a sense, Mr. Netanyahu does make a point: Israel today symbolizes injustice, genocide, cruelty and barbarism, and is the face of apartheid. So, in part, it is what Israel has come to symbolize that motivates people to boycott it.

Columbia University Black Student Union Condemns Campus Zionist Group, Reaffirms Solidarity with Palestine

In light of recent flyering campaigns done by Aryeh: Columbia Students Association for Israel (formerly known as LionPAC), in which they use the image and words of Martin Luther King, Jr. in favor of their Zionist views, we as the Columbia University Black Students’ Organization, write to condemn their co-optation of Black liberation struggle for the purposes of genocide and oppression and we re-proclaim our unequivocal support of Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace – Columbia/Barnard Chapter, and the people of Palestine in their fight for freedom from Israeli apartheid.

Clarification Statement by the DUT Student Representative Council

The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Durban University of Technology (DUT) apologises without reservation to any one offended by recent demands made by us regarding Jewish students.

We would like to clarify that our position is, in fact, that Israel is an Apartheid, genocidal and terrorist State and that in solidarity with our Palestinian people who are currently oppressed and colonised by Israel we demand that ANY student Jewish, Muslim, Christian even Atheist or any other that is funded by the Apartheid State of Israel and its institutions must not be students in DUT, and if there are any, they must be immediately de-registered. Our campuses will not be breeding grounds for Apartheid.

UC Santa Cruz Students for Justice in Palestine: “Dialogue has no meaning while apartheid and genocide continue.”

The organization “A Wider Bridge” is one element of a concerted effort by the state of Israel to erase its ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people by portraying itself as a tolerant, modern haven for queer people and a prime site for LGBT tourism, including study abroad programs. Participating in a study abroad program in Israel means participating in the ongoing apartheid and genocide of the Palestinian people. Do not become co-opted by Israel to cover for its violent and oppressive policies.

We are not interested in a dialogue with organizations such as A Wider Bridge and Slugs for Israel. Dialogue has no meaning while apartheid and genocide continue.

Dear friends, organizers of the Israel Genocide? Campaign,

The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) welcomes and supports your initiative to encourage people worldwide to write to the UN Office of the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, and demand that the UN conduct an enquiry into the possibility that Israel may have committed the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people and publish its findings and recommendations.

UN Resolution on Palestine: Palestinians Need Fewer Negotiations, Not More by Matt Peppe

Palestinians have been struggling for seven decades to maintain their existence in spite of dispossession, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and slow-motion genocide. How else to honor this heroic resistance than to prove definitively that Israel’s claims to being a democracy and Jewish state have never been anything more than a myth?

Apartheid Israel And Apartheid Australia Violate All Articles Of UN Declaration On The Rights Of Indigenous Peoples by Dr Gideon Polya

Apartheid Australia and Apartheid Australia-backed Apartheid Israel have appalling, continuing records of violating the human rights of their Indigenous Peoples through the Australian Aboriginal Genocide and the Palestine Genocide, respectively, and must be held to account by the civilized world through Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) for their genocidal crimes and for currently violating all 46 Articles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

The UN General Assembly’s 61st regular session overwhelmingly voted for the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) on 13 September 2007.
